HC Kharkiv played its first match of Round 1 of the 2026/27 Super League against Karpaty. The teams were evenly matched for much of the first half. At 11:11, neither side was able to pull away, before Kharkiv moved ahead 14:12. Karpaty quickly responded to level the score at 14:14 and then finished the half stronger, taking a 28:23 lead into the break.
After halftime, Karpaty continued to extend their advantage. Kharkiv tried to get back into the game, but the visitors maintained control and secured a 55:40 victory.
This was the first of two matches in the opening round of the new season. HC Kharkiv and Karpaty will meet again tomorrow for the second match of Round 1.
